Refund and Returns Policy

Bella Mia Farmstead (“Bella Mia,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) includes all affiliated brands and business divisions operating under the Bella Mia Farmstead umbrella, including but not limited to Bella Mia Farmstead, Bella Mia Botanicals, and Bella Mia Farm Stand.

We want you to love your purchase. If something isn’t right, contact us and we’ll do our best to make it right. Please include your order number, the item(s) in question, and photos when applicable.


1. Refund/Return Window

Refunds, returns, and exchanges are only considered within 14 days of the original purchase date unless otherwise required by law. After 14 days, requests may be denied.


2. Final Sale / Non-Returnable Items

For safety, quality control, and the nature of certain products, the following are final sale and not eligible for return or refund, except where noted under “Damaged or Incorrect Items”:

  • Live animals (including baby chicks and poultry)
  • Hatching eggs and fresh eggs
  • Seeds (see Section 3)
  • Digital products/downloads (ebooks, digital files, printable downloads)
  • Gift cards, gift certificates
  • Shipping and handling fees
  • Items purchased using rewards/discounts (the discount portion is non-refundable)

3. Seeds Policy

Bella Mia Farmstead cannot accept returns of seeds. If seeds are returned to us, they may be required by law to be destroyed or donated and cannot be resold. Please do not return seeds.

Refunds for seed items may be considered only if they are received damaged or incorrect. To request a refund, contact us within 14 days and include:

  • Photos of the item(s) and packaging
  • A copy of your receipt/order confirmation
  • A brief description of the issue

We are unable to offer refunds based solely on growing performance or results. Once seeds leave us, success depends on many factors beyond our control (soil, light, temperature, watering, pests, storage conditions, and more).


4. Bath, Body, Skincare & Herbal Products

Due to hygiene and safety standards, we cannot accept returns of opened or used bath/body/skincare/herbal products.

If an item arrives damaged, leaking, or incorrect, we will review the issue and may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund depending on the situation.

Allergy/sensitivity note: Individual reactions vary. We strongly recommend reviewing ingredient lists and performing a patch test before full use. We do not provide refunds for allergic reactions or sensitivity when the product was delivered correctly and as described.


5. Returns for Eligible Non-Perishable Items

For non-perishable, non-consumable items that are eligible for return, you must request a return authorization first.

If approved:

  • Items must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging
  • A copy of your receipt/order confirmation must be included
  • The customer is responsible for return shipping and insurance costs, unless we determine the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped, defective item, etc.)

Once received and inspected, we will notify you by email. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Processing times vary by payment processor and bank.


6. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of:

  • The item(s)
  • The shipping box and packaging materials
  • The shipping label (if visible)

We will review and determine the best resolution, which may include a replacement, refund, or store credit.


7. Shipping Issues & Lost Packages

Once an order is marked delivered by the carrier, we are not responsible for theft or loss due to incorrect addresses entered by the customer.

If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect/undeliverable address or refusal, we may:

  • Reship the order at the customer’s expense, or
  • Issue a refund minus shipping costs and any applicable restocking fees (if eligible)

8. Live Animals, Eggs, and Perishable Farm Products

Due to their perishable and time-sensitive nature, live animals, hatching eggs, fresh eggs, and farm perishables are final sale.

If there is an issue with your order, contact us immediately upon delivery/pickup so we can review on a case-by-case basis. Where applicable, photos and documentation may be required.


9. Cancellations

Once an order has been placed and payment is processed, cancellation eligibility depends on where the order is in the processing queue:

  • Before packing begins: If approved, you will receive a refund to the original payment method.
  • After packing has begun: If approved, a refund may be issued minus a 15% restocking fee.
  • After shipment: The return/refund policies above apply.

10. Policy Updates

Bella Mia Farmstead reserves the right to update this Refunds & Returns Policy at any time. The version posted on our Website is the current policy.
