A Little More About Me & Writing This Course

I’m not a lifelong expert with decades of experience in every aspect of homesteading, but I am deeply passionate about it. Over the years, I’ve dedicated countless hours to researching, documenting, planning, and expanding my knowledge. During this time, I was a poultry breeder, caring for over 350 chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl, and quail at any given time. I’ve also been a serious prepper (canning, dehydrating, stockpiling, long term food storage, etc.) for more than five years and a vegetable, flower and herb gardener for over 20, all of which naturally align with my love for homesteading.

Three years ago, faced with unexpected life changes, I made a bold decision. I left my existing farm, my home state, and everything familiar to start over in the middle of nowhere in Western New York. I purchased a 10 acre abandoned farm and homestead and began rebuilding it from the ground up, all on my own as a single woman. Anyone with experience in homesteading, farming, or DIY projects knows the magnitude of such an endeavor. It has been both a challenge and an adventure.

As I prepared for and embarked on this new journey, I searched for an affordable, easy-to-follow, and informative homesteading course to help me plan for my new land and all of the ideas I had in mind. But I never found one that truly met my needs. So, taking all of my years of research and planning, I decided to create the resource I wished I had. Rather than letting all that time, effort, and knowledge go to waste, I put it into a format that others could benefit from, just as much as I did. I still continue to use it daily.

I may not be an expert, yet… but I’ve poured my heart and a ridiculous amount of time into these lessons, and I believe anyone can benefit from them. Even if you’re already well versed in homesteading, you might discover new ideas to expand your homestead, explore additional income streams, or reignite a passion that may have faded.
