🥄 Usage Instructions

• Sprinkle directly onto regular feed or mix into a daily ration
• Can be used with pellets, crumbles, mash, or scratch
• May also be used as a feed topper, lightly sprinkled over feed the same way many people add toppers to dog food

Daily use (recommended):

• 1–2 teaspoons per 5–6 chickens
• Adjust amount based on flock size
• Use consistently for best results; this is a gentle, cumulative blend, not a one-time supplement
• Designed to complement a balanced feed, not replace it
• Safe for laying hens, roosters, and mixed flocks
• Suitable for year-round use, including during seasonal stress, molting, confinement, or limited free-range access

Making a simple mash (optional)

For chickens that prefer softer feed or during colder weather, you can easily make a mash:

• Place a small amount of regular feed in a bowl
• Add warm (not hot) water and stir until the feed softens
• Sprinkle the appropriate amount of Ultimate Flock Boost on top and mix well
• Serve fresh and discard leftovers after feeding

Mash is simply softened feed, and it’s a great way to help herbs stick and ensure even intake.

Optional alternative uses

• A small amount may also be sprinkled into nesting boxes, on the ground or in the dust bath areas for birds to naturally peck or interact with
• This works well for keepers who prefer a more hands-off approach or want to offer extra enrichment

Storage:

Store in a cool, dry place with the bag tightly sealed. Keep away from moisture and direct sunlight.

Shelf Life:

Best used within 6–12 months of opening for optimal freshness and aroma.

You may notice the bag is a little smaller than some herbal blends on the market. That’s intentional. Ultimate Flock Boost is concentrated and meant to be used in small amounts, not scooped by the handful.

It contains 16 high quality herbs that actually serve a real purpose and for what they offer your flock. They're thoughtfully chosen ingredients working together the same way I use them with my own chickens.

Ultimate Flock Boost comes in a resealable mylar bag with approx. 6 oz of the blend, it's designed to keep herbs fresh while being easy to store and use. This size also allows me to keep costs down, so I can offer a carefully made, higher quality blend at a reasonable price for you. Bag size is 7"w x 10.25"h with a bottom gusset.

⏳ How Long a 6 oz Bag Typically Lasts

How long a bag lasts depends on flock size and how generously you use it.

Daily use: 1–2 teaspoons
• At 1 teaspoon per day → about 12–13 weeks
• At 2 teaspoons per day → about 6–7 weeks
Typical range: 6–10 weeks

🥄 Why such a small amount?

Ultimate Flock Boost is a concentrated additive, not a feed. A small daily amount allows chickens to benefit from plant compounds, minerals, and aromatics without overwhelming their regular diet. Consistent, low-dose use supports balance over time, the same way herbs are naturally consumed through foraging.

Why 1–2 teaspoons is actually meaningful

Herbs work by presence and repetition, not volume. With herbs, more isn’t better.

They’re most effective when used with:

• Regular exposure
• Low, steady intake
• Cumulative support over time

Think of it the same way we use herbs in our own kitchens. We don’t dump an entire jar of garlic powder or ginger into one meal to get the benefits. We season lightly and consistently to support flavor and balance over time. This blend works the same way for your flock.

Chickens don’t need a mouthful of oregano or nettle to benefit. What they respond to is trace exposure, often.

That’s why, in nature:

• Chickens peck at herbs occasionally
• They don’t gorge on them
• But they return to them again and again

This blend is designed to mirror that natural behavior.

Daily use vs. situational use. This distinction matters.

• Daily support blends → small amounts, used consistently
• Seasonal or short-term support → larger amounts, used occasionally

If you want to:

• Support your flock during molt
• Help during periods of stress
• Or simply offer a little extra variety

You can absolutely:

• Use 2 teaspoons instead of 1, or
• Skip a day and use slightly more the next time

The herbs are safe either way. Large amounts just aren’t necessary for daily or regular support.

📦 Shipping: Each blend ships for a flat rate of $5, orders over $40 ship free. Because I mix in small, fresh batches, orders ship twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month. This keeps blends fresh so they're not sitting pre-filled on the shelf. As things grow, shipping frequency will too. 🐓 Who’s Mama Red?

Hi, I’m Tameron and most people know me as Mama Red. I run Bella Mia Farmstead, a small, one-woman farm in Western New York. Everything you see here is something I use myself and share because it’s worked for me.

I raise and breed chickens, tend my gardens, and live a homestead life alongside my dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, and quail. For my boring day job, I’m a web developer and designer, which is why my little farm happens to have a pretty website.

All of the Cluckin’ Blends are hand-blended by me, in my kitchen, on my little farm, using herbs and ingredients I trust with my own chickens. They’re made in small batches, with clearly labeled ingredients and real life use in mind, not mass-produced or outsourced.

I’m also a mom to three grown boys, which shaped how I think about food, sustainability, and self-reliance. Growing, raising, and using what we have matters to me. Bella Mia Farmstead is simply an extension of that, sharing what I’ve learned with other chicken keepers who care just as much.

 Why Cluckin’ Blends instead of something cheaper online?

Because you deserve to know exactly what you’re using and why.

• There are no cheap fillers or fluff, every ingredient serves a purpose.
• The ingredients are not sourced from China and haven’t sat on a shelf for months or years.
• No corn, soy or oyster shell is ever added to any of my products. (Oyster shell should be offered freely not added to feed, treats or nesting box herbs.)
• Nothing questionable or harmful, the herbs are all natural, non-gmo, carefully selected and intentionally blended.
• No proprietary blends or mystery ingredients.
• I’m fully transparent about what’s in my blends, the ratios used and the why.
• My packaging may not be next level but my ingredients are, and to me that’s what matters.
